What is a zipper pull?
The pull tab is the hand-operated piece attached to the slider. The slider travels along the elements, often called teeth, to join or separate the two sides. The tape holds the elements, while the top and bottom stops limit the slider's travel.
If a tab is missing but the slider still moves, the tab may be the part to replace or redesign. Whether it can be replaced independently depends on how it is connected to the slider and whether a compatible replacement assembly is available. If the slider is bent or no longer joins the elements, changing only the tab will not solve the problem.
